Fusionist is a tactical turn-based strategy about managing planets, gathering resources, building spaceships and constructing various mechs for the purpose of waging wags. The story of the game takes place in the year 2800 and humanity is looking for new habitable planets in the universe.
Fusionist is a complex turn-based tactical strategy, in which we command mechs produced on our own planets to start human civilizations in the galaxy. The production was handled by the experienced Fusion Interactive studio, which has the FlatOut series to its credit.
Story
Fusionist presents a vision of the year 2800. The Earth is largely uninhabitable, which is one of the reasons for the occurrence of large-scale wars. Hyperspace travel is indeed possible, but it's hard to find planets suitable for human life. A highly experimental technology also exists, allowing to transfer human consciousness into artificial intelligence. In this way, fusionists set out to explore the universe in order to find planets suitable for human habitation.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Fusionist is divided into layers. As part of the first layer, we deal with colonization and management of planets, collecting unique minerals and producing mechs. For this purpose, we set up power plants and processing plants, and conduct trade on the galactic market. The shortage of raw materials is inevitable. When constructing mechs, we choose from many "cores". We also construct space ships.
The second layer involves tactical battles conducted with teams consisting of up to five mechs we have managed to build. Each of the five mech classes has its own set of weapons, skills, and plays a different role on the battlefield.
There are three types of attacks available: cold, fire, and electricity. By strategically connecting with each other, we can trigger "chemical reactions". We undertake increasingly profitable combat missions thanks to the upgrades acquired from resources.
Multiplayer
In Fusionist we can challenge other players in online PvP battles.
