A simulation game about designing and arranging living space - from bedrooms to shops and gardens. Furnish Master was created with Unreal Engine 5, allowing a lot of freedom for choosing and modifying objects, including their colors, size and material types.

Furnish Master is a simulation game in which we play the role of an interior and space designer. It was created and published by an independent creator Alex Blintsov.

Plot

As a student renting a room with a friend, we are trying to earn extra money using your spatial imagination, aesthetic sense, and talent for space management. We accept various assignments related to these skills: from arranging kitchens, through planning a store display, to designing a garden. Completed tasks bring not only money, but also recognition and the opportunity to invest in properties that provide a steady income, moving us closer to purchasing our dream villa.

Mechanics

The game involves arranging a given space (bedroom, shop, garage, etc.) by choosing furniture, appliances, decorative objects, lighting and customizing their appearance. Objects can be rotated in three planes and their size, color, material texture can be changed. They can be anchored in groups, aligned to a grid or to other objects. Furnish Master does not simulate physics, which allows us to create surreal designs, such as a bedroom with a bed on the wall.

In the story mode, we perform specific tasks, like furnishing the kitchen with already purchased items or repainting the furniture in the room. For completing the missions, we receive rewards and recognition that brings us new tasks. We can spend the money we earn on furnishing our own room or contributing to investments that generate permanent income, like a shop. Among the challenges, there are also "mini-games", such as arranging puzzles on the room wall, or connecting hydraulic pipes from scattered fragments.

In the "sandbox" mode, we can freely arrange one of the available room templates or create our own, non-standard room. We are not limited by finances when choosing objects, although some items are only available after unlocking them in the story.

Game modes

Furnish Master offers single-player gameplay only. The modes include a story mode with specific tasks to complete and progress that unlocks content, and a sandbox option, providing almost complete freedom of action.
