Football Manager Mobile 2018 is a special edition of Football Manager 2018 developed by Sports Interactive, designed for smartphones and tablets. Unlike its original version, the game does not allow a player to experience 3D matches, features poorer database, and simplified interface. On the other hand, the game delivers all of the most important functions.
Football Manager Mobile 2018 is a special edition of Football Manager 2018 developed by Sports Interactive, designed for smartphones and tablets – the studio has also released a simplified version of the original game – Football Manager Touch 2018. The game described herein differs in many aspects from other Football Manager games.
Mechanics
The general idea of Football Manager Mobile 2018 is practically identical to the one featured in Football Manager 2018 and Football Manager Touch 2018. In the game, a player assumes the role of a football manager tasked with leading his team to success. However, the gameplay has been designed in such way that while a player progresses, he can do it much faster, allowing him to play e.g. while riding on a bus or during a break in work.
One has to come up with tactics before each match, change the players, purchase and sell players, tend to the club’s budget, and use the help offered by the talent hunters – the better a specialist is, the more interesting sportsmen he finds, and the more one has to pay him for his services. In the mobile version of Football Manager, the fruit of their work is presented in a form of a card with player’s advantages and disadvantages, which allows one to make quick decisions.
The mobile version also features simplified interface and does not require one to study multiple stats and data sheets, however, it does introduce numerous details about given teams, players, etc. Nonetheless, in comparison to larger installments in the series, Football Manager Mobile 2018 for AND and iOS offers a smaller range of available teams and players.
Technical aspects
In Football Manager 2018 one can watch 3D matches similar to those featured in the FIFA games. However, in Football Manager Mobile 2018 for AND and iOS, a player can see only dots moving on the field. The game, however, provides one with most important information, allowing him to change the players and implement new strategies during a match.
