The Jimquisition: 7 / 10 by James Stephanie Sterling
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn isn’t a particularly necessary addition to the Soulslike genre. It doesn’t stand out in any major way, and it’s certainly rough. It is nonetheless amusing in its own scrappy way, the many tools at the player’s disposal are well presented, and after a touchy start it develops into a decent bit of fun.
GameSpot: 7 / 10 by Richard Wakeling
With hyper-mobile combat and traversal, and a varied arsenal of 17th-century firepower, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn stands apart from its peers in more ways than one.
Game Informer: 7 / 10 by Marcus Stewart
Despite my hangups, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn never plummets to being actively bad. Instead, it coasts along a solid line of mediocrity that results in a moderately good time. It often feels like it wants to say or do more but is held back by its scope and execution, not to mention some technical hiccups. Though it occasionally shows flashes of brilliance, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn falls short of achieving true godhood.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Description
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an action RPG developed by A44 Games studio. This is a team who gained worldwide fame thanks to the genre-related project Ashen, released in 2018.
Plot
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn takes us on a journey to a fantastic universe where firearms and magic exist side by side. The gods, who have been dormant for millennia, have decided to return, opening the gates to the Underworld and allowing hordes of undead to slaughter all the living. The coalition army, made up of the survivors of the invasion, must face them. The army is led by Nor Vanek, who is out for revenge, accompanied by Enki, a fox-like creature with magical powers.
Game mechanics
In Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn we observe the action from a third person perspective (TPP). The game offers a vast world, made up of sandy deserts, huge ruins and the soaring City of Dawn. Traversing it and completing the tasks, we recruit allies who will stand up to fight with the gods.
Dynamic battles with enemies play an important role here, during which we use both cold weapons (such as axes) and firearms (such as black-pistols), as well as combat magic. During the duels we have to show dexterity and reflexes, combining attacks in spectacular combinations and avoiding enemy blows. Indispensable support for us is Enki, who serves us with his magical powers. A variety of enemies stand in our way, with big bosses leading the way.
Technical aspects
Graphics in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is in a dark style. You'll enjoy the look of the game thanks to both the well-detailed character models and the variety of detailed locations.
