Fitness Boxing Switch

Fitness Boxing is a hybrid of sports and rhythmic game. The production was developed by the Japanese studio Imagineer.

Mechanics

Fitness Boxing consists of various exercises that boil down to boxing to the rhythm of instrumental versions of twenty popular songs. During the game we have to perform specific movements (such as a straight jab, hook or uppercut) at certain moments. The game evaluates our actions on a constant basis.

Before we start the training we can choose not only its length (from ten to forty minutes), but also the speed and purpose of the training (choosing the part of the body on which we intend to concentrate). The fact that the game calculates our BMI as well as the calories we managed to burn during the next training sessions helps to make the right decision. In addition, we can decide which of the five coaches (both men and women) will help us. As we progress, we unlock new songs and clothes for our teachers.

Game modes

Fitness Boxing can be played either solo or in the company of another player. The local multiplayer modeenables us to train together and to engage in fist duels of sorts.

Technical aspects

Fitness Boxing features colorful three-dimensional graphics. Symbols of movements we have to perform appear on the background of diverse visualizations, and the characters of trainers are maintained in cartoonish style.
