1-2-Switch is an original party game developed by Nintendo for Switch, their newest console. Gameplay is based on two-person competition - players take part in various contests, playing as pirates, gunslingers, and other characters. What makes 1-2-Switch stand out from the crowd of other similar games is that we are not watching the screen while playing, but facing our opponent face to face.

Mechanics
1-2-Switch is a game that focuses on two-person competition. Players take part in various contents, taking the roles of gunslingers, pirates, knights, guitarists, or even yogins.
What makes 1-2-Switch shine among other similar games is the fact that we are not looking at the screen while playing, but facing our opponents face to face. Such an approach was possible thanks to the console’s controllers, Joy Cons, their unique features, and the “Share the Joy” function. In practice, every player uses one of the console’s detachable controllers.
Technical aspects
Due to the game’s specific approach to gameplay, 1-2-Switch for SWITCH does not require its visuals to be of the highest possible quality. Even though the players do not have to look at the screen, it is still used for showing their score in the game.
