Final Fantasy XI: Shantotto Ascension - The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born

The theme of the add-on is based on the events that accompany eccentric doctor Shantotto's return to Windurst. Friends who remember her from before her sudden and unexpected disappearance are surprised by her unusual behaviour. At one point, Shantotto proclaims herself the ruler of her new empire. The player's task is to discover what is behind this change of personality.

This mini-expansion is a series of quests accompanied by cut-scenes. The player faces two bosses and the reward, as in previous scenarios, are valuable items. The expansion uses assets already present in the game, such as elements of the environment, terrain and monsters, but enriches the with a new story line.

Shantotto Ascension requires us to have the Rise of Zilart expansion installed, which was sold in the United States and Europe with the basic version of the game. New tasks are available for characters at level 10 or above.
