Fatigue is a PC-based horror adventure adventure game developed by Samuli Jolkio.
Story
Players take on the role of a policeman named John Foley, who until recently worked as a detective in the homicide department. For some time now, he has been unsuccessfully trying to solve the case of the death of a man named Larry Seinfeld. The hero's determination finally turns into obsession and has a negative impact on his mental health and professional performance. As a result, he is dismissed from work.
Foley decides to go to the small town of Pine Lake - officially for recreation, but in fact, he chooses this place for another reason. A certain murder took place there, which is suspiciously reminiscent of what happened to Seinfeld.
Mechanics
Most of the gameplay in Fatigue takes place inside as hotel, where the hero stays because it was here that the murder we were interested in took place. Events are observed from an isometric view, and mechanics are shared with classic adventure games. While playing, we have to explore the locations, talk, collect items and solve logic puzzles.
These activities, typical for adventure games, have been enriched with survival elements. The policeman we control is in a terrible state, both mental and physical. That's why the player should make sure that Foley lasts until the end of the story. It is, therefore, necessary to find regular ways of improving his health and mitigating the effects of his mental problems.
