A console version of the FPP shooting, which takes place on a tropical island. In the game we will face a series of different opponents, exploring the tropical jungle in search of a missing journalist. A number of weapons and vehicles have been put at our disposal. Graphics looks great, and special effects and sound effects are at the highest level.

Far Cry Instincts Description

After a successful release of Far Cry shooting game on PC, Ubisoft company decided to create its console port. This is how Far Cry Instincts, an expanded version of the original game, was born.

As John Carver you sail to a tropical island, which only appears to be a paradise. The hero quickly gets involved in an uncanny intrigue, and it will not be so easy for him to get back to his serene life. The journalist you escorted did not reveal all she knew. Right after getting near the island, your boat is shot at, and the pretty lady gets kidnapped. The only thing you can do now is try to solve the mystery.

The expanded Far Cry Instincts features huge, freely explorable world. The four diverse islands have now 14 new locations. Such a large environment can be traversed by vehicles (e.g. four-wheelers and hovercrafts). Most of the original Far Cry cut-scenes were replaced by interactive sequences.

As you play, the hero evolves, changing his appearance and skills. This comes in handy in combat, and lets you use a variety of weapons (one of the new ones is the harpoon, which lets you shoot under water). Different moves and dodges prove useful in fighting enemies, whose behavior is intelligent, instead of script-based.

Numerous online (or split screen) multiplayer modes add to the experience.

In terms of graphics, the console Far Cry is on par with the PC version. The environment and water look equally good, although the vegetation is a bit less dense. The game runs at 30 frames per second.

Far Cry is a series of first-person shooters (FPS) with a sandbox gameplay model. The leading theme of the series is spectacular shootouts using modern firearms, but the developers are not afraid to experiment and from time to time serve players a trip to completely different realities, such as distant prehistory (where rifles and flamethrowers are replaced by bows and machetes) or an alternative world in the climate of cyberpunk (where cyborg soldiers fight using laser weapons). The series allows us to drive vehicles, including jeeps or boats with machine guns, and sometimes to ride animals (such as elephants). Starting with the third installment, RPG-like elements, such as crafting and character skill development, began to enter the series. Later installments were also equipped with level editors.
