Family Game Night 4: The Game Show, released on X360, Wii and PS3, is the fourth installment of the series of family games. The popular series has had its own TV show aired on The Hubb. The developers from Electronic Arts decided to take advantage of this by offering players the chance to participate in the game show.
Mechanics
The game offers an opportunity to test oneself in six competitions, based on popular board games produced by Hasbro. Players can face live opponents or AI-controlled ones in 4-CONNNECT basketball, SORRY! curling, YAHTZEE! bowling, SCRABBLE Flash, the arcade and memory game Bop It! Boptagon and the economic strategy Monopoly Crazy Mashine.
Game modes
The game was created for multiplayer fun using motion controllers. As a result, players have to show reflex and good movement coordination. However, some of the games lik SCRABBLE Flash require lexical skills.
Technical aspects
Family Game Night 4: The Game Show is inspired by the Family Game Night TV show. The game takes place with the use of monstrously large pawns, boards, and game accessories. The players' struggles are accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack.
