Fable Anniversary Description
Fable Anniversary is an action RPG game, prepared by the studio Lionhead on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the original release. The game was first released for Xbox and twelve months later on the PC. The product allows the players to re-visit the fantastic land of Albion and portray a nameless hero who wants to take revenge on the bandits who are guilty of the death of his family.
In comparison to the original version, the creators have not made fundamental changes in the story, but it is worth mentioning that Fable Anniversary for PC and X360 includes a built-in addon – called Forgotten Stories which extend the campaign for a few more hours of gameplay. The main character of the game is a boy who is a witness of the attack of bandits on the Oakvale village and extermination of its inhabitants, including members of his family. The child is sheltered by Maze, a well-known Albion Heroes' Guild representative. Under the supervision of professionals, he goes thorough training and a few years later officially joins the elite group of heroes.
The game provides great freedom of action - the number of available activities greatly increased with the opening of new locations and acquiring items of special purpose, for example, rods for fishing and shovels to dig treasures. The main goal of the campaign is to complete tasks, those which are included in the main plot as well as numerous side missions. In Albion, you can also come across NPCs in need. Lionhead Studio has provided the opportunity to solve problems in different ways, which determine the relations of residents to character. In Fable Anniversary the character can do only good deeds or do everything in his power to become the bad guy. The actions taken by the player are reflected in the appearance of character. For example, if the character is an oasis of goodness, over his head appears angelic aureole.
Fable Anniversary for PC and X360 also offers an extensive system of gestures, which help to interact better with people living in Albion. The game even lets you flirt with NPCs, marry them and live in the house. What is more, the product offers a whole bunch of different items, which affect not only skills related to combat, but also determine the attractiveness of the hero.
