EXOD Intervention X360

WXP Games studio, known so far mainly from the production of paintball games, has prepared a shootout in the climates of science fiction. The game was created by a team of less than ten people and is a slightly innovative approach to the genre of FPS games.

The story takes us into the future, to the planet Dagoth. As a result of the EXOD project, this celestial body was chosen as a new home for people who have to leave the dying Earth. The player takes on the role of one of the first colonizers and at the same time the person responsible for adapting the environment to life for the whole civilization. This task is not an easy one, but it is hindered by aliens living on the planet and trying to eliminate all living beings.

What distinguishes the game from other similar titles is the main character and his unconventional abilities. A player-controlled character is characterized by extra power and an unprecedented living and learning weapon. Thanks to appropriate modifications of scientists, armament gained the ability to evolve with the progress of the main hero. The creators have solved this in a style known from the production of RPG, where for defeating enemies and completing tasks the hero receives points for distribution, which can be used to improve statistics and new skills. Weapons have both offensive and defensive capabilities. This means that it can shoot powerful energy missiles and shield itself from enemy attacks. It is only up to the player to decide how his armament will develop.

EXOD Intervention is characterized by simple graphics. Individual objects are built of few details, and there are no special effects known from larger games. WXP Games production, however, is characterized by smooth animation and refined Artificial Intelligence of enemies who use shields and try to act as a team.

Sky Kensok is responsible for the sound layer of the production, which prepared an interesting combination of techno music with oriental climates.
