An online FPP extraction shooter, inspired by Delta Force and Operation Flashpoint. In Exfil teams of players are assigned the task of retrieving intel data from a downed helicopter. The game offers various seasons, weather conditions and a realistic day-night cycle.
Exfil is an extraction shooter that draws inspiration mainly from the Delta Force and Operation Flashpoint series. The game is the debut work of a small, independent Italian team, Misultin Studios.
In Exfil we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The pillar of the game is the titular mode, in which players divided into teams must locate a downed helicopter, recover and secure intelligence data, and then safely evacuate from the scene of action.
Teams have several ways to achieve the goal entrusted to them. Although there is nothing to prevent them from acting hastily, they can just as well focus on retrieving intelligence data from the hands of competitors (which requires setting up an ambush) or on eliminating the remaining soldiers, so they can then calmly do what they need to do.
The game provides us with a wide range of firearms (primary and secondary) and grenades (smoke, stun, flash), as well as Molotov cocktails, traps, and a drone (although its operating time and range are limited). We use GPS for orientation in the field, while communication with other players takes place using a radio.
The game takes place on maps with an open structure. The game has implemented various seasons (affecting the appearance of individual locations) and weather conditions (we can play both in full sun and during a snowstorm), as well as a day-night cycle. Given that the night here is very dark, it's worth using night vision goggles after dusk.
Exfil only allows to play in multiplayer mode. We can play with other people through the Internet or on a local network.
