Evil Democracy: 1932

Evil Democracy: 1932 is a strategy game about a specific historical period - the years before the Second World War (1932-1935). The player has the opportunity to play the role of a politician fighting for power in one of the three European countries. The game was developed and released by the independent Hamsters Gaming studio.

Plot

The 1930s were a turning point for Europe. What would happen if other parties came to power in different countries? If England had a different Prime Minister than Chamberlain? Finally, what would happen if someone other than Adolf Hitler took over the reins of the German state?

Mechanics

In Evil Democracy: 1932 we play the role of a politician who tries to take over power in a chosen country (France, Germany or the United Kingdom). The game offers several dozen real political parties that were active in the 1930s and a few dozen dogmas that we can adopt when formulating our programme. The game takes place on a map with seventy regions.

Players' tasks include editing (we can write three types of texts), publishing and distributing a newspaper, holding party congresses, and hiring junior party leaders (the game offers several hundred characters). We also supervise the agitators and organise demonstrations.

The player can make all kinds of decisions and not necessarily stick to the limits of the law (we can, for example, intimidate the voters or try to cheat the election).

Game modes

In Evil Democracy: 1932 we can only play alone. The game offers three campaigns - one for each country.

Technical aspects

Evil Democracy: 1932 has quite simple, two-dimensional graphics. The graphics consists mainly of an interface, various maps, statistical screens and illustrations that form the background.
