The plot is connected to the events from the second installment in the series — the story begins in North Karana, which was visited by the mysterious Lady Lindenaria, The dragoness' appearance is the direct reason for the creation of an interdimensional rift, which threatens the land of Ethernere.

In EverQuest: Call of the Forsaken, you will encounter the powerful dragon Lady Lendiniara across the once peaceful plains of West Karana.
