Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends

Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends for PC, iOS and AND is a yet another game published by the Polish Artifex Mundi – a studio specializing in Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure games, commonly referred to as HOPA. The game has been developed by The House of Fables, a studio responsible for creating the previous two installments of the series.

Plot

In Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends for PC, iOS and AND, a player gets to follow the new adventures of a botanist named Mary Gilbert, who, this time around, has to rescue her brother kidnapped by an evil sorcerer. In order to save him, she has to go to a magical land of the Clouders filled with floating islands, which is located on the other side of the rainbow. This is only the beginning of the main protagonist's problems, as on her adventure, she has to save not only her brother but also the entire humankind. Fortunately, she is aided by Aitwara – a house spirit. Will it be enough to succeed?

Mechanics

HOPA games are based on relatively simple rules – the screen is filled with interactive and partially animated boards, on which one has to locate diverse items, which are usually interwoven into the background. This is the base mechanic of all such games, including Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends for PC, iOS and AND. Nonetheless, the game described herein offers several more attractions. Most importantly, the developers have implemented numerous logical puzzles that allow a player to access consecutive locations (in total there are 30 locations to visit) and discover the story of the Clouders.

Technical aspects

Similarly to other productions developed by Artifex Mundi, Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends for PC, iOS and AND delivers pleasing to one's eye visuals. All the boards have been hand-drawn and comprise multiple animated elements, while the screen is filled with the fairy-tale-like atmosphere.
