EVE Frontier PC

EVE Frontier is a survival game with MMO elements, set in the universe created for the highly popular EVE Online. The title was developed by CCP Games, a studio overseeing the development of the brand, and is distinguished from a number of other productions of this type by its reliance on blockchain technology.

Storyline

In EVE Frontier we play the role of a character who wakes up from a long cryogenic sleep in the title Frontier. We are talking about a region of space full of mystery and danger, overrun by sinister AI, whose drones hunt survivors, and devastated by supermassive black holes. Our task is not only to survive, but also to take part in rebuilding this patch of the universe.

Gameplay

At its core, EVE Frontier is a survival sandbox in which we sit at the helm of our spaceship and traverse a vast map, taking part in skirmishes and gathering valuable resources. Among the latter, the most prominent is the so-called Crude Matter, which is the primary source of energy for the region's inhabitants.

Who we play as during the game depends entirely on our discretion. We can become space adventurers, giants of industry or explorers, whose main occupation is exploration. As you progress, you get to know other players, with whom you can cooperate and form teams that over time will turn into real space syndicates; of course , there is nothing to prevent you from joining existing groups.

The game world is governed by complex laws, which the authors have christened Digital Physics. Control is realistic, and flying through space and fighting enemies, we must not only control all the systems of the ship, but also skillfully use the environment.

The resources we collect along the way can be sold or used to repair and upgrade spaceships or to build various structures. Using a feature called Smart Assemblies, the structures we build can be programmed to be used, for example, for defense, storage of various goods, industry or commerce; we can also use it to develop our own systems for missions assigned to other players.

Blockchain

EVE Frontier is based on blockchain technology and uses cryptocurrencies to handle in-game transactions. This is intended to allow players to earn money from their creations, which in turn is supposed to give them an incentive to participate in the process of expanding the described production and filling its world with content they create.

Game modes

EVE Frontier allows only multiplayer gameplay over the Internet.

Engine

EVE Frontier uses the proprietary Carbon engine. As the source code of this technology is fully open source, players can develop their own functionalities, as well as create new elements of the game world and edit existing ones.
