Epic Manager Description
Epic Manager for PC is an economic strategy in which we take control of a talent agency, recruiting volunteers that are trained to become RPG heroes. The game is a debut production of the Canadian ManaVoid Entertainment.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in a typical fantasy universe, a type of which can be found in almost every RPG title. We assume control over a guild that recruits promising characters, train them in art of adventuring, equip them with the necessary tools, and then send on demanding missions. Our main objective is to balance the expenses against the income to be able to continue our activities.
Mechanics
The authors put a lot of emphasis on the randomness of the gameplay, including events, quests, or monster locations. The world consists of over a hundred locations, while most of the events force us to undertake tough calls that influence the outcome of the campaign. Such approach allows us to complete the game more than once, with each playthrough offering a different experience.
We can begin the quest by sending scouts that traverse the world in search of able heroes. To add a hero to our ranks, we need to negotiate a contract first, and then supervise his career by preparing a workout plan and the type of accepted missions, with the most difficult and time-consuming quests being the most worthwhile.
Each hero can represent one of sixteen character classes, or become a hybrid of two professions. Combat takes place in real time, with equipment and character statistics influencing the outcome of each encounter. Our role limits our participation to choosing special abilities, which are best utilized when applied in the right moment. The defeated hero dies permanently, which forces us to plan each move and/or encounter in order to avoid irrecoverable losses.
