Endless Sniper
Release Date: October 22, 2015
A hilarious game combining elements of a shooter and an endless runner; it was created by Baby Squid - a studio comprising of a single game maker. The player is required to shoot the enemies moving around subsequent maps, which is done by moving one's finger against the touchscreen and tapping the trigger. The enemies, including shooters and ninjas, constantly try to eliminate the player and a single hit can be the reason of one's failure.
Endless Sniper for AND and iOS is a funny production created by the Baby Squid Studios (Daniel Abdel-Nour's one-man studio), combining elements of a shooter and endless runner. The game is available in a free-to-play business model, and while having fun we are accompanied by occasional advertisements.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Endless Sniper is about shooting at moving enemies. This is done by navigating with your finger on the screen of the device and pressing the trigger. Aiming alone is not too difficult, but the problem is the opponents (sharpshooters, ninja and others), who do not remain indifferent to our actions and also try to eliminate us. The game ends when we get shot once, so you have to be careful, look around and be the first to shoot. In order to make the task a little easier, you can shoot objects on the map, such as exploding barrels, which kill people in the vicinity. Our goal is, of course, to achieve the highest possible score. In addition, during the game, we get coins which we can spend on new sights.
Technical aspects
Endless Sniper uses the popular pixel-art style, which refers to old productions from 8-bit era. The graphics are fine, although after some time you start to notice the limited variation in the appearance of enemies and locations.
