A strategy game in which the player's task is to coordinate the activities of rescue services helping victims of accidents and catastrophes. The production offers several missions in campaign mode and a free game module.

Rettungsdienst-Simulator 2014 is a strategy game, including elements characteristic of the simulator genre, which allows you to take command of an emergency unit, helping both the victims of various accidents and disasters, as well as caring for the lives of citizens through routine ambulance trips. The production in its subject matter resembles another, very well-known rescue series - Emergency. The title offers a variety of missions for a single player in the campaign mode, there is also the possibility of playing in the free game module, where the player sets the conditions and goals of the tasks and selects the vehicles and units necessary for the game. Rondomedia, a German company specializing in the creation of this type of production, is responsible for the development and publication of this title.

The creators have prepared a dozen or so scenarios in which we have to demonstrate a wide range of skills in helping the inhabitants of the city - initially our duties include ambulance trips to minor injuries or fire brigade interventions in case of small fires or collisions. With time, missions become much more complicated - we are then delegated to rescue the victims of a construction disaster or to get passengers out of a car that collided with the train. For this purpose, we use a variety of vehicles - these are both pure rescue units, such as ambulances, fire engines, helicopters or police radios, as well as technical units, allowing to reach the victims who are under the rubble or ruins of buildings.

During the operation we control practically every aspect of the struggle for human life - individual units can carry out several different activities, what counts is good coordination and selection of appropriate units for particular calls. For the money earned during the action, we can at any time improve our units, as well as buy new vehicles and tools useful in providing assistance.

The game offers us two views of the game - the first one allows us to cover the whole city and observe the situation in general, the second one takes us directly to the place of action, where we delegate individual units to rescue operation. The game is shown in isometric projection, and the animation and visual setting are not at the highest level. The game boasts a realistic set of sounds emitted by vehicles.
