A browser MMO strategy game from the creators of Tribal Wars. In Elvenar the player joins one of two sides of conflict: humans or elves, and strives to build a prospering metropolis. Each of the two races uses different technologies and offers unique architecture, units, and a bit different gameplay philosophy.
Elvenar is a fantasy-based browser MMO game in which we will try to create a prosperous city by exploring exotic areas and trading with other inhabitants of the land, standing by people or elves. The title is another big production in the output of the thriving German company InnoGames, known for such browser hits as Grepolis, Tribal Wars or Forge of Empires.
The action of the game takes us to a vibrant fantastic land, where two main races compete with each other: humans and elves. Starting the game, we stand on one side, which translates not only into the technologies used, a different look of buildings and individuals, but also a slightly different philosophy of the game. For example, the elves lead a peaceful life in harmony with nature, practicing magic and coexisting with other fantastic beings, while people are more likely to be known as ambitious and rational engineers who use the medieval arsenal of traditional weapons and treat technology development as their main weapon in the struggle for survival.
The basis of the game is to provide our small settlement with plenty and develop it to the size of a powerful metropolis. To this end, we must devote ourselves to activities such as the production of raw materials and food, the development of hundreds of technologies and the creation of a strong army that will allow us to explore new territories and give us an advantage in the fight. Practically all of our buildings, which will include various workshops, factories or ordinary houses, can be improved many times - both technologically and visually, which results in higher productivity and allows us to adjust the appearance of our settlement to our own preferences. In addition, while exploring new areas we will find a number of ancient relics, which carry a lot of useful bonuses to support the production or development of the army.
Like most similar MMO games, gameplay combines elements of PvE and PvP modes. So we can concentrate on performing subsequent tasks and fighting against various independent characters, as well as interacting with other players by establishing alliances, trading or declaring war against them. The Elvenar battles take place in turn-based system on diverse terrains, covered with a grid of hexagonal fields. Up to 20 different types of units and monsters can take part in the skirmishes, and the clashes are accompanied by spectacular 3D animations, which, combined with high quality graphics, bring the game above typical browser production standards.
