Electronauts is a combination of a game with a tool to create music, created with the virtual reality in mind. The player is cast in the role of a DJ who remixes songs of different artists. Survios studio is responsible for the production.

Developed by Survios studio ,Electronauts is a music game that additionally provides tools for remixing songs. The player gets access to a database comprising more than 40 tracks, which can be freely mixed at their own discretion.

Mechanics

In Electronauts, playes assume the role of a virtual DJ and take control of nine unique instruments in a futuristic setting. With these instruments, one can remix more than 40 different electronic tracks as much as possible.

The proprietary Music Reality Engine is responsible for dividing tracks into several segments. This means that it can take up fragments of any song and combine them with each other by modifying their sound with instruments. At the end of the game, the player can perform a song he or she has created.

Game modes

Electronauts can be played solo or in a cooperative mode for up to two players.

Technical aspects

Electronauts features cartoon-like visuals. Neon elements placed on dark background result in a strong visual contrast. The game is based on the Music Reality Engine, which allows you to turn fragments of songs into interactive elements.

Electronauts requires VR glasses such as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR to work.
