Edge of Space PC

Edge of Space is a platformer sandbox in a sci-fi setting. The game has been developed by HandyMan Studios.

Players become one of the crew members of a spaceship called ArkCo, who discovers, upon waking up from a long cryogenic sleep, that their vessel strayed into a mysterious corner of the galaxy that resembles the Earth's Bermuda Triangle. Our main goal is to survive - and to stay alive, we need to explore the world, gather resources, build structures, and fight hostile creatures, including thing like Laser Sharks.

The world has an open structure and is randomly generated each time we begin a new game. The player's impact on the environment is significant, and the authors have even enabled us to conduct terraforming. Throughout the adventure we spend a lot of time on combat, during which we use a wide variety of weapons and traps, as well as numerous helpful gadgets, including jetpacks. Apart from regular enemies we must also confront powerful bosses. As befits a good sandbox, developers did not forget about a crafting system. During our travels we collect valuable resources, find construction plans and pieces of technology developed by long-lost civilizations. There is even an option to construct our own vehicles and mechs, used both for transportation and combat.

In addition to single player, the game features also a multiplayer mode. The authors made it easy to transfer characters from campaign to multiplayer and then visit worlds generated for other users.
