Terraria: Otherworld Description
Terraria: Otherworld for PC is a spin-off to the 2011's highly-acclaimed 2D sandbox platform game. The title was developed by the independent studio Re-Logic, led by Andrew “Redigit” Spinks. One more company was involved in the game's development process - Engine Software, the company responsible for preparing a conversion of the original version of Terraria for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.
Story
Action of Terraria: Otherworld for PC takes place in an alternative dimension. The player is thrown into a world whose nature was corrupted by a destructive dark force. The hero undertakes the challenge of restoring the realm to its original, pristine condition.
Gameplay
The essence of the game remains unchanged. At our disposal we get a number of basic tools that allow us to reshape the world and help us during exploration. In the game we can dig in the ground in search for raw minerals, plant plants and set up plantations, build constructions, or craft tools, armors, and weapons. Building a safe house and making weapons is crucial, because at all times we are exposed to the attacks of deformed creatures populating this corrupted land. While exploring the game world we also encounter powerful bosses, whose elimination allows us to progress further. Because the environment is generated randomly, each game is unique. In addition, almost every element can be destroyed or modified, so the only limits to the game are the player's imagination, creativity, and motivation. Given this, the title is often called a two dimensional Minecraft.
Compared to the first installment, Terraria: Otherworld for PC introduces elements of plot and increases the emphasis on issues related to character development. However, following the story told in the game in only a pretext to provide us with unfettered fun as we transform the world, and it doesn't limits the openness of the product in any way. Item finding system was slightly modified, as well as the game interface, which is now more intuitive.
Technology
In terms of graphics, Terraria: Otherworld for PC presents a retro style characteristic of the series, inspired by the classic 2D platformers, although several cosmetic improvements have been made, when compared to the first installment. Color palette is maintained in darker tones, which better reflect the atmosphere of the world dominated by the malevolent force. According to the developers, Terraria: Otherworld for PC is what the original game could have been, if implemented with the ideas excluded due to lack of funds.
Game modes
Terraria: Otherworld for PC offers also a multiplayer mode, where, together with other players, we can play transforming and creating our own worlds.

Terraria Devs Had Interesting Idea for Game Development. Terraria: Otherworld Could Put Brand on New Track
Terraria is a true phenomenon. This „Minecraft 2D” enjoys unflagging popularity more than a dozen years after its release. There was not much to make this hit live to see a side, strongly different installment.
