Edengrad is a game which genre can be described as a crafting MMORPG, as we can built or construct thousands of things – from a simple fire, up to large, customized cities. The players control their avatars from a third person perspective, constructing numerous items and objects using found resources. Such elements can be placed within the game world, influencing the environment and players around it. Aside from a fire, chair, or a lamp, we can also create walls, or a fence fragment.

Mechanics

However, not all items require crafting. Many useful things, such as firearms, or a firefighter hat, can be found in the game world, which is a post-apocalyptic area impacted by an unknown cataclysm. The player can build his own vehicle (one or two-track), steal one, or repair one of the wrecks lying around. The items are characterized by the level of advancement, and the level of ability needed to construct them. Often, before creating an item, we need to gather or create tools necessary for the process. Unfortunately, our activities can be interrupted by mutated animals or humans, as well as the players themselves, ready to rob us of all resources.

Aside from crafting, the players can take up to three randomly generated quests. We can find them in a portable computer, which is a standard issue item of each person entering the world of Edengrad. All dialogues and objectives have been written and programmed in advance, but their location in the world is completely random.

Technical Aspects

Edengrad is complemented by its graphics, detailed and eye-friendly. Large amounts of plants and greenery suggest a genesis in which the world had been taken over by nature after a mysterious cataclysm. The nature of the project rules out a singleplayer mode, which is absent in the game.
