Don Bradman Cricket 17 Description
Don Bradman Cricket 17 is a sports game for PC, XONE and PS4, developed by Big Ant Studios (the creators of the Sprint Cars series, Rugby League Live, and several other productions) with cricket fans in mind. The title is the successor of 2014’s Don Bradman Cricket 14.
Mechanics
Don Bradman Cricket 17 for PC, XONE and PS4 is a simulator of cricket which is especially popular in England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia. Although there aren’t many production of this type on the market, the developers at Big Ant Studio, despite the lack of competition, really put a lot of effort into developing their game and thus created probably the most realistic and advanced cricket simulator.
As befits every true game of this type, Don Bradman Cricket 17 offers a number of options that let us create our dream team. The character editor allows us to, for example, generate new players and then choose their role on the cricket pitch, their mentality, and a number of various abilities that they will use in sports competition. Naturally, we also have to determine their appearance — players can even have tattoos. Another highlight of the game is the possibility of importing any of over 20 thousand players from the previous installment of the series
Technical aspects
The biggest novelty of Don Bradman Cricket 17 for PC, XONE and PS4 in comparison with its predecessor is the introduction of a new engine which features an advanced lighting system that influences, among others, the realistic appearance of cricket players skin (according to the developers, it is nearly photorealistic). It isn’t everything, though. Thanks to the new technology, players look more realistic, while gameplay resembles a TV broadcast.
