Dodgeball Academia was developed by Pocket Trap, the studio behind the dynamic fighting game Ninjin: Clash of Carrots. In Dodgeball Academia, the developers have focused on the adventure aspect of the game, dividing the story into 8 chapters where you complete various tasks, participate in matches, and help the protagonist find his way to Dodgeball Academy to fulfill his dream of becoming the greatest dodgeball champion.

Plot

The protagonist of the game is Otto, a young boy who has always dreamed of becoming the greatest dodgeball champion. In order to do that, he goes to the Dodgeball Academy, where he learns new techniques and gets better at it. Accompanying him on a daily basis, we discover the secrets of the old campus, meet a number of characters and participate in numerous matches where we can test our skills.

Mechanics

Dodgeball Academia is divided into eight chapters. During each of them we explore the vast areas of the campus and gradually discover the mystery hidden within its walls, as well as meet the characters for whom we perform a series of tasks, both main and side. Dodgeball The game focuses a lot on RPG and arcade elements, so the characters we meet can be our rivals, with whom we'll be able to face on the pitch, but also friends who will become our future team for the game of stickball. And it has a great importance for the game, because there are quite a lot of matches on the field and we face both ordinary teams and bosses in the form of players or teams which are very popular and recognized.

Matches are arcade-style and require us to accurately throw the ball at opponents, as well as avoid them when we are the ones being attacked. Players have a certain amount of life points, which decreases with an accurate ball hit, but also unique skills that allow us to perform special plays: heal team members, bombard the opponent with balls or perform an area attack.
