Digital Combat Simulator: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight PC

Digital Combat Simulator: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight is a simulator of the Mi-8MTV2 fire support helicopter, the game is a part of the Digital Combat Simulator cycle from the Belsimtek studio, the team responsible for the well-received DCS: UH-1H Huey.

In accordance with the title, the project allows us to sit inside of the cockpit of a Mi-8MTV2, a Russian multi-purpose chopper, designed in the workshop of Mikhail Mil. The series of machines has been used by the armies of over forty different countries, more than several thousand copies of the gunship have been created worldwide.

The developers have offered everything that we could expect from the previous editions of the saga; the title is a realistic flight simulator with a complex steering system, which will take hours of gameplay to master. The highest level of simulation is granted by cooperation with professional pilots, who have spent hundreds of hours in the real machines. The authors have designed the interior and the hull with attention to even the smallest details. The cockpit is fully interactive and it supports motion tracking devices, which can register our head’s movement. All sound effects have been based on recordings of a real-life version of the Mi-8MTV2.

Digital Combat Simulator: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight is a module for the free-to-play DSC World. This, and every other simulator we purchase, becomes a part of a singular online service, which makes updates a non-issue and grants compatibility between different productions.
