A platform action game, in which we play the role of a knight traversing catacombs and eliminating monsters that are standing in his way. The gameplay in Devious Dungeon is enriched by RPG elements - during his voyages the hero does not only gain new equipment, but also reaches consecutive experience levels, so that over time he can face more and more demanding challenges.

Story

Devious Dungeon takes place in a fantasy land inspired by the European Middle Ages. Players take on the role of a fearless knight, who, at the command of his ruler, goes to the catacombs stretching beneath the kingdom. It is our task to clear the underground tunnels of the monsters that wander around them.

Mechanics

In Devious Dungeon the action is shown from the side. During the game we travel through procedurally generated locations filled with various traps, perform the quests entrusted to us, fight with encountered opponents (among which there are bosses such as enourmous orcs or stone golems), as well as collect more and more powerful items (we can also obtain armament, amulets, protective rings and various potions from merchants). In addition, over the course of his underground voyages, the protagonist will obtain higher experience levels, which will allow him to increase his combat potential - thus, he can face increasingly difficult challenges.

Technical issues

Devious Dungeon's two-dimensional graphics have been maintained in a pixelart, retro style, evoking associations with titles from the 8 and 16-bit eras.
