Release Date: September 23, 2016

OpenCritic
The first major story expansion for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided by Eidos Montreal. System Rift does not introduce any novelties into the gameplay mechanics, which still allows a lot of freedom of action and choice of one of several alternative ways to achieve a goal. A stealthy approach and careful observation is still the most profitable option, and awarded with numerous secret collectibles. The plot of the add-on is rich in plot twists.

Impulsegamer: 4.5 / 5 by Dakoda Barker
System Rift focuses on the strengths of Deus Ex to craft a satisfying stealth romp.
COGconnected: 65 / 100 by Ahmed Mohamed
System Rift makes you care about the story it throws at you by getting you invested in its characters, whether through their noble motives or sheer humor.
GameGrin: 8 / 10 by Andrew Duncan
Its short length and literally only one new obstacle added means that, although it’s just as fun as the main title, it’s lacking the qualities to be an amazing DLC.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - System Rift Description
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift is the first story expansion for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The add-on was released for PC, PS4 and XONE shortly after the vanilla game’s launch.
Plot
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift, we are taken to Prague where we have to perform completely new missions. Adam Jensen takes on a task given to him by his former partner, Frank Pritchard, whom he owed a favor. As it turns out, it involves infiltrating of a local data bank. While playing, the player gets to know entirely new characters better, including a hacker named ShadowChild known from the Breach mode. The story itself is rich in plot twists.
Mechanics
The DLC doesn’t introduce any novelties to the gameplay mechanics—any goal can still be reached by different ways and accessed by various routes. We can solve problems by force but a stealthy approach and sneaking past enemies is just as profitable. Once again, careful exploration is awarded with additional content for there are numerous hidden secrets within the available locations.
Technical aspects
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift for PC, PS4 and XONE requires the vanilla game to be installed in order to work.
