The second part of the cycle of casual real time strategies - Operation Stormfront. This time, players have the opportunity to command the military forces of factions fighting for oil fields in the Middle East. The title was produced by an independent studio Noble Master Games, known, among others, from the Age of Conquest series.

Desert Stromfront is the second game from the Operation Stromfront series, released just a few months after the release of Tropical Stormfont. This time developers from Noble Master Games studio decided to move the action to the Middle East region.

Consisting of about 30 scenarios, the main campaign depicts the conflict between a coalition of western states and Islamic countries and rebels. A total of nine nations compete for oil-bearing deposits: United States, France, Great Britain, Italy, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Afghanistan. Individual missions include tasks such as destroying enemy forces, defending against enemy attack or escorting convoys.

Desert Stromfront uses the gameplay mechanics known from Tropical Stormfront. The game takes place in real time and the player has many different types of units under his control (tanks, field artillery, submarines, destroyers, aircraft carriers and others). There are also four types of buildings in the game: base, shipyard, airport and oilfield. Control over them provides certain benefits and can tip the scales of victory.
