A dynamic twin-stick shooter in which players take on the role of the Uricans - demonic beings trying to return to the top of the food chain. At the heart of the game is the elimination of hordes of enemies that we send to the sand using a varied arsenal - as the adventure progresses, the protagonists gain experience and advance to the next levels, thus increasing their combat potential.

Demon's Crystals is a dynamic twin-stick shooter developed by Byte4Games, the mobile version was developed by Akaoni Studio.

Story

Demon's Crystals takes us on a journey to a fantasy world. In the course of the game, we play the role of Uricans- demonic beings who have been occupying a position at the top of the food chain for centuries. The situation changes when mysterious alien creatures, transforming the inhabitants of the land into bloodthirsty monsters, appeared. There is nothing left for the demons but to face the threat.

Mechanics

The devs of Demon's Crystals decided to show the action from an isometric perspective. The main task in the game is the elimination of hordes of adversaries, including the powerful bosses waiting at the end of each of the three available game worlds. They are not only more resistant to damage but also have much greater attack power; this makes it necessary to work out their attack patterns and possessing enough punch to deal some damage.

Luckily, the Uricans are not defenseless - in combat they make use of an extensive arsenal of firearms, and additional support is provided by power-ups scattered around the battlefields. What is more, the game features some RPG elements - as the players progress, they gain experience points and level up, increasing their stamina and strength.

Game modes

While owners of mobile devices have to be satisfied only with the possibility of playing solo, Demon's Crystals on consoles and PCs offers a range of modes designed for both single-player and multiplayer gameplay.

The pillar of the title is the Arcade mode, in which we can play eiter solo or in the company of three other players. In addition, we have Survival (where we try to stay alive for as long as possible and collect as many points to boast the results on the online leaderboards), as well as modes for multiplayer competition (Deathmatch, Versus, Crystals Attack, Capture the Great Crystal, a variation on the popular CTF, and Kill the Enemies).

Technical aspects

Demon's Crystals features decent visuals, which attract attention mainly due to the original, slightly cartoonish style and extremely rich colors.
