Tower defense board game, enriched with RPG and roguelike elements. In Defend the Rook we fight turn-based battles on a chessboard-like board, and our task is to defend the tower that belongs to us.

Defend the Rook is a unique board and tower defense game with RPG and roguelike elements. It was developed by One Up Plus and published by Goblinz Publishing and Maple Whispering.

Mechanics

In Defend the Rook the gameplay takes place in turn-based mode, on a board resembling a chessboard, which we observe from an isometric view. During the game our task is to defend the tower that belongs to us. Skirmishes in which we take part are procedurally generated and each time they are different.

To effectively fend off successive waves of enemies, we have to place various traps and barricades on the board and skillfully use available spells. In addition, we send heroes into battle, whose combat potential grows as we progress. Interestingly, the tower can not only attack enemies, but also move around the board, so it can also be used efficiently in battle. Be careful though, because when you lose it - you lose the game.
