Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is a action adventure horror game. The production is a continuation of the Deadly Premonition issued in 2010. Studio Toybox Inc. is responsible for the development of this title and the publisher is Rising Star Games. It is worth noting that many authors of the previous part of the game were involved in the work on the game, including Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro, Tomio Kanazawa, Shuhou Imai and Satoshi Okubo.

Plot

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise takes place 9 years after the events of the first part, but in the production there are also threads that precede that game. The player again takes on the role of FBI agent Francis York Morgan, who tells another agent, Alija Davis, a story about mysterious murders in the town of Le Carre, near New Orleans. Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro is responsible for the screenplay and direction.

Mechanics

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is an action adventure game that puts a lot of emphasis on discovering the story of its creators. The game is divided into two parts - in the first part we take part in an interview, trying to present proper evidence and point to the objects in the room.

The second part of the game consists in exploring the town of Le Carre - it has the form of an open location of about four square kilometers, in which we can move freely. In these fragments of the game we observe the action from the thirs person perspective (TPP). We travel, talk to characters, and find all kinds of evidence and clues that help us solve a confusing criminal puzzle.

Game modes

In Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise we can only play alone. The gameplay is based on a feature campaign.

Technical aspects

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise has quite an interesting, three-dimensional graphic design, maintained in a slightly comic style, which brings to mind associations with Telltale Games studio productions (e.g. The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us adventure series). Shuhou Imai was responsible for the artistic direction and the soundtrack was developed by Satoshi Okubo.
