[1:28] Dead Effect 2 trailer
KeenGamer: 7 / 10
Dead Effect 2 is rough around the edges, but anyone can see the potential in it just by playing a few of the missions. The gameplay felt like a first person shooter game made for the PS2 or early PS3 (when in actuality it was originally made for mobile devices), with stiff controls and predictable enemy actions. We never felt as though the older style of gameplay was a lack of development or creativity, but rather its own style that felt closer to a sense of nostalgia for us. It was developed by a small team, so its comparison to AAA titles should be nonexistent and is immediately noticeable by the price point of $11.99 across all platforms. Co-op is a major concern to some players (including ourselves), so it was disappointing, to say the least, that, on consoles, the game lacked the option to play in such a way when it was included on Steam.
Pure Playstation: 7 / 10 by Kyle Durant
"Without a doubt, Dead Effect 2 is the most enjoyable sci-fi, zombie shooter for twelve bucks. The story may be average at best but the gameplay and amount of options to utilize are awesome. I can't deny that I enjoyed shooting whatever Badfly threw at me, and the surprising amount of replayability the destruction offered. Considering this was originally a mobile game, I can see many people developing a guilty pleasure over this space faring adventure."

Dead Effect 2 is a game with big aspirations that simply doesn’t reach the heights for which it shoots.
Dead Effect 2 Description
Dead Effect 2 for PC, AND and etc. is an FPS kept in a futuristic horror stylistic. The production was developed by BadFly Interactive – the studio also responsible for the prequel.
Plot
The plot of Dead Effect 2 directly continues the events from the first part. Once again the player finds himself in the space ship ESS Meridian, the crew of which was transformed into bloodthirsty zombies. To make matters worse, the ship hides a much older evil force that threatens not only the lives of the crew, but also their sanity.
Mechanics
Just like the first instalment, Dead Effect 2 is a classic mobile FPS. The action is seen from the first-person perspective and gameplay comes down to ship exploration and fighting enemies with the use of virtual controller. From time to time the player needs to solve logic puzzles and fight bosses.
The title of course features new locations, enemies, and additional types of weapons, among them a katana that can chop monsters into pieces. Moreover, there are three playable heroes – each of them can be developed with diverse cyber implants. The game also utilises an equipment upgrade system.
