Darkest Dungeon: The Butcher's Circus PC

Darkest Dungeon: The Butcher's Circus is a free add-on to the 2016 roguelike Darkest Dungeon. The game introduces a new mode, focusing on battles between players. The authors of the original, i.e. developers from Red Hook Studios, are responsible for its development and release.

Mechanics

The Butcher's Circus introduces a new place. The Circus allows players to gather a team of four heroes (we don't risk our basic characters from the role-playing campaign) and stand in turn-based combat in the arena, where all tricks are allowed.

In battles, we use new items that strongly influence the course of the fight against player-controlled characters. Additionally, as the game progresses, we climb up in the hierarchy and unlock the elements of the flag - thanks to this we can compose our own.

Game modes

We can only play the base version of Darkest Dungeon alone, but The Butcher's Circus is a network multiplayer mode, which focuses on PvP clashes (player vs player).

Technical aspects

The Butcher's Circus does not make any significant changes to the graphics design. However, we get some new illustrations and graphic designs, another music theme (by Stuart Chatwood) and a number of sound effects prepared by Power Up Audio.
