Dark Salvation is a first-person shooter game set in dark, gothic climates. The history of the title goes back to 1999, when the founder of Mangled Eye Studios, the company responsible for creating Dark Salvation, developed fashion outlines for the Quake III Arena. This modem then evolved into fully fledged production, powered by the id Tech 3 engine.

The plot of the game focuses on the character of the Talia, a young woman witnessing the slaughter of her family by a demon named Lucafix. In pursuit of the demon, Talia ends up in his kingdom, where she is possessed by an entity called Spirit Cristal. Using his power, Talia must avenge his loved ones and return to the living world.

Dark Salvation's gameplay doesn't differ much from the FPS canon - there are hordes of demons lurking on our way, insidiously placed traps and simple puzzles to solve. A total of 14 different levels of projects await us - each of them offers different musical themes as well. Of course, Talia is not defenseless in the fight against enemies - she has quite a large arsenal of esoteric weapons and spells, as well as numerous items that increase her combat capabilities.
