Curved Space

Mechanics

In Curved Space the action is shown from a third person perspective (TPP). The game takes place on various arenas and is all about eliminating hordes of enemies. Apart from the "cannon fodder", a number of much more powerful bosses are waiting to be killed. Standard ship equipment can be improved by gaining various power-ups.

The game's title (curved space) refers to the twisted surfaces of arenas, where we fight fierce battles with galactic spiders. Navigating these seemingly complex environments is made easier by the fact that the prevailing gravity pulls both our ship and the bullets we fire to the ground. This allows you to move vertically along walls and fire effectively even when enemies are hiding behind a hill, for example.

Game modes

Curved Space allows only to play solo. In addition to the story campaign, there's an arena mode (where we can take on over 60 random challenges and post our scores on online leaderboards), a survival mode (where we fend off waves of enemies), and endless gameplay (where we face random challenges and various bonus objectives). This is complemented by daily missions; we only have one chance to complete each of them.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of Curved Space does not amaze with details, but its characteristic neon style deserves attention. The pace of the game is enhanced by a fast, synthwave soundtrack; it consists of tracks signed by Scandroid, 3Force and Fury Weekend, among others.
