Cubetractor is the first game in the creative output of the independent developer studio Ludochip. The production, combining elements of logical, arcade and strategy game, won the main prize of Independent Game Festival China 2012 (Independent Games Festival in China).
The main character of Cubetractor is a nice blue robot named Endroi. He wants to master the difficult art of cubetracking, i.e. attracting cubic blocks to perfection. Above all, this requires dexterity, caution and drift to plan tactical actions.
Game developers have prepared more than 40 levels of varying degrees of difficulty. The basis of the game is to manipulate the blocks, which can not only be attracted to each other, but also to create defensive turrets or use them as weapons to kill enemies. The player's main task is to find all the batteries hidden on the board before the time limit has expired.
Cubetractor's audiovisual setting refers to the era of 8 and 16-bit computers. The two-dimensional graphics used in the game are characterized by simple animations, strongly limited color palette and clearly marked pixelization effect.
