The official add-on to Crusader Kings, the 2004 spin-off of the Europa Universalis series taking place in dark Middle Ages. The Deus Vult expansion introduces a large number of small updates and novelties, making the kingdom management an even bigger challenge. The developers improved, among others, the system of foreign relations, with our actions and movements resulting in new friends or enemies.

Deus Vult is the first official expansion to the complicated strategy game, Crusader Kings. The general rules of gameplay have not changed, therefore we still have to rule over a Christian country, although it is now more difficult than before which comes as no surprise at all.

The expansion introduces, first and foremost, a whole bunch of minor improvements thanks to which ruling over a country becomes even more interesting. The system of diplomacy was particularly enhanced. Thanks to that, we may gain new friends and foes and count on better show of loyalty of our subordinates. It is now more important to pay attention to the behavior of our vassals. New character traits, new random events and improved diplomacy (i.e. sending our wards to different courts) are also noteworthy.
