Cruis'n Blast is the sixth part of the racing game series, launched by Midway Games in 1994. Game, developed by Raw Thrills, is a port of the production released on arcade in 2017.
Mechanics
In Cruis'n Blast we take part in crazy races taking place on more than 30 different routes. We fight for victory in cities, tropics, among ancient ruins or in the scenery straight out of the movie Jurassic Park, among others. To win we have to use perfect knowledge of the tracks, which are full of obstacles as well as jumps and surfaces that give us a kind of boost.
The developers give us 23 different vehicles at our disposal. We're talking about both licensed cars (like Nissan GT-R or Hummer) and more sophisticated machines, including a hovercraft or helicopter. In addition, we can try to fight for victory in a truly crazy way, controlling a flying saucer, and even a dinosaur or shark equipped with a laser cannon.
Game modes
Cruis'n Blast can be played solo or in multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Technical aspects
The graphic design of Cruis'n Blast is kept in a cartoon style. Both the routes and the vehicles shine with a spectrum of colors, which makes the whole thing look pleasant to the eye.
