Game mechanics

In Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion we observe the action in top-down view. Game gives us three fighters at our disposal, which differ not only in look but also in basic weaponry. The gameplay is very dynamic and we' re moving through the levels (navigating up the screen) and we're fighting with hordes of opponents; from time to time we're also dealing with powerful bosses. As is typical for a bullet hell shooter, the screen is literally flooded with bullets. This makes that in order to be successful, we have to not only lead an accurate fire, but also effectively dodge enemy bullets, lasers and other threats.

We can increase our combat potential by getting various power-ups. In addition, attacking enemies, we charge the Break Mode bar, which allows us to scatter bombs across the battlefield wreaking havoc in the enemy ranks. However, if we show patience and instead of using its capabilities, we fill this indicator again, we get access to even more devastating Double Break Mode.

Game modes

Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion offers three difficulty levels. While Novice is designed for beginners, Arcade offers a high level of challenge. The last on the list is Arrange level developed especially for the described version of the game, where we have to face a number of additional challenges.

Moreover, the game allows to play in one of five modes. Training allows us to polish our skills on any arena and behind the controls of chosen ship, Original Mode is the main and standard variant of gameplay, Boost Mode introduces modifier in the form of dynamically adjusting difficulty level (moreover, in the described version of the game, the longer we use Break mode, the more difficult opponents become to defeat), and Unlimited Mode was prepared for the most seasoned players (additionally in the described version of the game our basic weapon is able to destroy some of the opponents' missiles). The last place on the list is taken by Time Attack mode, where we have only three minutes to complete each stage.

Technical aspects

Graphics of Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion is in colorful, cartoonish style. Due to the prevailing chaos, it is difficult to get oriented in the situation on the battlefield while playing. Additionally, after accurate hits on the screen points appear, which make the whole thing even more unclear.
