Cricket Captain 2016 is another installment in the cricket manager series, developed in cooperation by Childish Things and a renown cricket player, Chris Rogers. In Cricket Captain 2016, players get a chance to manage their own Cricket team, and their task is to set the squad and tactics, search for new players, and lead the club through subsequent games. In this edition of the game, there are 79 teams in total, divided into five leagues.

Cricket Captain 2016 is the next installment of the cricket sports game series started in 1998 - a popular sport in England and Australia. Like the previous parts, it was created by the British studio Childish Things, in collaboration with Chris Rogers, captain of the Somerset cricket team.

Game modes

People who know the previous parts of the series will surely quickly feel at home in Cricket Captain 2016. This installment gives the players the opportunity to manage a cricket team, and their tasks include the selection of team members, searching for new players and sponsors and leading their team through subsequent matches. In the 2016 edition we can choose from 79 teams divided into 5 national leagues. The games are also held as part of World Cups, played both in one-day mode, as well as the so-called Twenty20. In addition, the devs made it possible to recreate historical scenarios - the classic games between England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. In addition to solo playing, in Cricket Captain 2016 we can face players from all over the world in online multiplayer mode.

Technical aspects

The creators introduced many changes compared to previous installments of the series. One of them is the implementation of a day and night cycle, which enables us to play both before and after sunset, which is associated with different conditions on the pitch. Especially in match mode after dark, the new 3D lighting system is visible. Cricket Captain 2016 also adds the ability to observe matches from different perspectives with a user-controlled or fully automated camera. On the other hand, there is a help function for new players, which displays useful tips and hints.

Cricket Captain 2016 contains an updated database of teams and players. New achievements have also been added to unlock and the interface has been improved, all with the attention to detail that previous productions of this cycle are known for.
