Crazy Machines: 101 Zagadek is the third independent extension to the hit series of logical games created in 2004 by the German development duo: FAKT Software and Pepper Games. The title was developed by the same team, but unlike the previous versions of the cycle, it focuses more on the younger group of players.
The rules of the game remained basically unchanged. The game puts before us a number of different tasks, which we have to perform using a preassembled set of parts and elements. With their help we build sophisticated machines that benefit from the effect of chain reaction and various physical properties of individual objects and are used to achieve the desired goal.
The general concept of the game is based on the idea used in Sierra's best-selling The Incredible Machine series, although due to a slightly different target group, it is closer to the Incredible Toon Machine spin-off. In addition to 101 new puzzles, the game introduces a whole lot of new elements, such as blocks or jumping frogs. In return, however, a number of more complex devices have been abandoned, the characteristics of which could pose too great a challenge to pre-school children.
In 2007, based on the levels of 101 Riddles and a bit earlier published in the Laboratory, another "export" version of the series, known as Crazy Machines 1.5, was prepared.
