Cossacks II: Gold Edition is a package of two real-time strategies from the Ukrainian GSC Game World studio. The set includes both the basic version of the RTS, Napoleonic Wars, as well as the Battle of Europe, the extension issued one year later.

Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars, the English title of the first product, is a sequel to the award-winning production of Cossacks: European Wars. The action of this part allows the player to lead one of the six powers (France, Great Britain, Austria, Russia, Prussia and Egypt) in the turbulent period of history, which was the era of Napoleonic wars (19th century). The game contains six large campaigns, consisting of about 60 tasks. In addition, we have 12 independent missions and 10 historical battles at our disposal. 150 types of authentic combat units and 180 buildings from old times have been reconstructed.

The creators also tried to make the battles even more realistic and effective, and to make command of troops on the battlefield easier. This is why Cossacks II has implemented a revised military interface and control system, allowing for the use of different combat formations and the use of relief and terrain diversity in combat (shooters have lower efficiency in the forest, cavalry bogs in wetlands, etc.). Battle for Europe is the name of the first extension to the second part of the popular real-time strategy series Cossacks, subtitled Napoleonic Wars. Players once again move into the reality of one of the most turbulent periods in the history of Napoleonic wars in the nineteenth century.

In addition to the six powers known from the "two", Battle for Europe owners can lead three completely new nations in the game: Spain, the Principality of Warsaw and the Confederation of Rhine. The programmers have also prepared a number of new units or buildings, which are available for users during virtual struggles. A total of more than 180 unique units and 190 buildings have been prepared. The Battle for Europe strategy mode, where players fight for total dominance over the Old Continent, has also been greatly improved.

In addition, RTS enthusiasts received four new campaigns, ten battlefields, three historical scenarios to be played out (including the French forces' clash with the Russian forces at Borodino in 1812 or Napoleon's last lost battle at Waterloo in 1815) and six skirmish missions. There were also new levels of dedicated multiplayer options. Unlike other releases of this type, the described add-on is a fully stand-alone product and works without the need to have a Cossacks II installation: Napoleonic Wars.
