Cool Spot

Cool Spot is an arcade game promoting the popular drink Seven Up, produced in the United States by Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages. The main character of the program is a man built on the basis of a red dot, characteristic for the logotype of the above mentioned lemonade.

Virgin Games, Ltd. is a classic platformer in which the main task is to collect red dots scattered all over the board. Depending on the difficulty level chosen, the player must acquire a certain number of these items - 30%, 60% or 90%. Once the required number of dots is in our possession, you can open a special cage with the trapped creature, crowning your stay at this stage.

The game is not the easiest because of the cunningly placed thorns traps, as well as numerous opponents. Under no circumstances can we get closer to our opponents, because any contact with them reduces the life energy of our hero. If it falls to zero, we lose one of the few additional "live" and resume the fun from the last remembered point. In the course of the struggle, we must also remember about the fast passing time. Fortunately, it is possible to add a few dozen valuable seconds by finding bonuses in the form of watches.

Cool Spot offers nice low resolution visuals, decent animation and a good soundtrack. Due to the high level of difficulty, the product is aimed rather at more experienced platformer enthusiasts.
