Consortium Remastered

How his investigation will proceed, as well as his own future, largely depends on the decisions we make. Interestingly, the remaster offers a completely new ending, prepared based on the analysis of feedback on the players' actions in the original.

Mechanics

In Consortium: Remastered we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game we travel around the deck of the ship and talk to members of its crew, each of whom has an individual personality. As we progress, we gradually learn more about them, and we also discover their mutual connections and their potential involvement with the matter we are investigating.

The game often forces us to make difficult decisions that affect the further course of the story. Additionally, we can solve the problems encountered here in two ways, the first of which is to rely entirely on diplomacy and our eloquence. The game has an optional VOICE system implemented, which allows us to select dialogue lines using our own voice.

Another way to deal with problems is by using force. The game gives us access to a wide range of firearms, armor and various boosters. The hostile members of the Zenlila crew adjust their behavior to our actions on the battlefield, exercising caution and trying to apply various tactical maneuvers. The game allows us not only to engage in open fights, but also to act stealthy, sneaking behind their backs and eliminating them by surprise.

For players who like "destruction", a special VT mode (virtual trainer), in which we can test our skills in various scenarios, was prepared. In addition to this, we can expand it with our own challenges using the built-in level editor and share them with the community. Those interested in immersing themselves in the game's lore can browse through an extensive database containing about 250 documents (such as mission reports, news articles or blogs). An additional feature is a mini-game titled Zenlil Defence.

Technical aspects

Compared to the original, Consortium: Remastered offers slightly improved graphics (although maintained in the same, cartoonish style). It's the result of transitioning to a new engine in the remaster.
