These are rather simple games in which pressing a single button is the main activity. Contrary to the first entry in the series, Clicker Heroes 2 isn’t a free-to-play title.

Mechanics

The gameplay mechanics in Clicker Heroes 2 are very simple. The character is automatically moving in one direction (towards the upper right corner of the screen) on a map presented from an isometric perspective. The player is tasked with pressing a button in order to eliminate enemies. Even this activity isn’t mandatory because the protagonist, if left alone, can manage pretty well. Gold can be obtained from killed monsters and then used for buying equipment and hiring additional helpers who will help the protagonist in new battles. The players also receive experience that enables them to obtain new abilities. From time to time, the players must face a boss – an opponent that is stronger than the other enemies and that must be defeated within a specific time limit.

Technical aspects

Clicker Heroes 2 features colorful, nice looking graphics. The game’s world is three-dimensional, but it is observed from an isometric perspective. This creates illusion as if the game was two-dimensional. The effect is stronger thanks to the nicely animated, hand-drawn characters and monsters.
