Clatter is a turn-based strategy game about robot battles. The game was developed by Facepunch studio, known for Garry's Mod or Rust.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in the distant future, at a time when battle competitions with the use of robots have become the most popular form of entertainment.
The plot plays no major role in Clatter and is just a pretext for fun.
Mechanics
Clatter is a strategy in which we command robots fighting in small arenas. The authors have prepared a large selection of maps, offering different tactical conditions. The clashes take place in turn-based system.
We choose our troops from a large list of machines with various features and abilities. We can never have all the units on the team, so we have to learn how to choose the right robots, taking into account criteria such as map types or our own tactical preferences.
Game modes
Clatter was developed mainly for multiplayer battles, which are played in classic deathmatch and control mode, which requires occupying points on the map. Players are organized in three leagues - brown, silver and gold. Each has its own tournaments and the winners can be promoted to a higher league.
In addition to multiplayer, there is also a single player career mode. Solo mode allows you to play the role of robotic team manager and lead your team to success in the league seasons. During the game we have to gain sponsors, buy and sell units and improve the mechanical charges.
Technical aspects
Clatter offers simple but attractive three-dimensional graphics with neat robots. They have slightly caricatured designs and are equipped with many funny animations. Their appearance can be changed to a large extent, and the game has, among other things, a wide range of hats for our mechanical vanguards.
