A driving simulator, published by specialists in making such training tools. City Car Driving 2.0 is focused on the educational aspects and on monitoring if the player is following road traffic regulations. The game also offers small details, like being able to drive on differents types of fuel or to customize our car.
City Car Driving 2.0 is a sequel to the educational car simulator from 2010. As with its predecessor, the game was produced by the Russian company Forward Development. It specializes in creating training equipment and software used to prepare specialists in the field of road safety and testing the knowledge of candidates.
Gameplay
In City Car Driving 2.0 we can drive a selected passenger car in conditions as close to reality as possible. The realism in the game is noticed through things like dynamic day and weather changes (including heatwaves, fog and night storms), the option to choose the type of gas, and even a system of front windshield getting dirty, which requires us to use washer fluid. In the morning hours, we can expect a larger number of vehicles on the streets, and during a downpour, the use of windshield wipers becomes necessary. We drive not only in the cities, but also in forest areas.
Traffic rules are one of the basic elements of gameplay and the artificial intelligence monitors our behavior on the road and evaluates it. We face fines for breaking the rules, because there is an economy system in the game. We repair damages, use car wash, customize the appearance of the car and work as a taxi driver.
As befits a simulation game, controls also play an important role in City Car Driving 2.0, offering both manual and automatic transmission, as well as comprehensive driver preparation.
The game includes numerous modes and it also allows for creating and adding custom vehicles.
Engine
City Car Driving 2.0 was created using Unreal Engine 5.
